Central Island Aisoft Club Rules

Tomorrow’s battle is won during today’s practice.

Here you can find a list of all of our rules and regulations as well as forum rules. Please take the time to read this, as its expected that all players playing with CIA know and understand these rules.

A hit is a hit no matter were or how hard it hit you. Calling your hits is essential to the game, so when you are shot yell "hit" as loud as you can to let players know your hit and are now "dead". Place a kill rag ontop of your head if you have one, if not place your gun above your head and remove your magazine and follow prior respawn-meeting area instructions. Do not fire your rifle while you are dead as it disturbs other players playing. Players not calling there hits will be asked to leave.  If a player is un-sure he/she maybe hit, its best to assume you were.

AEG/GBB Limits

All guns are to be chronograph tested with .2gram bb's, they measure speed at Feet Per Second.  Every new rifle / rifle that has been upgraded gets tested no exceptions.

  • (TM,CA,ICS,Systema,G&P) AEG's (Automatic Electric Guns) are not to exceed 415 fps
  • Semi automatic "sniper/marksman" AEG's are not to exceed 460FPS
  • Bolt action spring/gas are not to exceed 500FPS
  • No AEG exceeding 350FPS may be used in CQB situations
  • Bolt action rifles have a minimum engagement range of 60ft
  • Gas Blow Back pistols (GBB) may not exceed 400FPS
  • In order to take on a sniping role it is recomended a player become well rounded using an AEG before playing with any bolt action from 460-500FPS. As well must have on him or herself a back up stock GBB pistol or AEG weapon for when their enemy get with in their 60 ft safe range. A rubber knife/knives is not acceptible as a back up. It is probably a good idea to avoid this role if you are new as its not as fun as it sounds.
  • When airsofting only use paintball approved goggles, nothing that does not cover all the way around the eye. This is non-negotiable. You may how-ever remove your lower-face protection from your paintball goggles at your own risk.
  • Please bring a barrel condom or barrel cap cover to cover the flash hider of your rifle when outside of field limits. If you do not have one, Midway will rent you one for $5 deposit that return-able on return of there cover. No magazines may be inserted into your AEG/GBB outside of playing area.  Clear weapons in a safe direction with a couple shots in semi auto with the magazine out when leaving the playing area.

Milsims

During bigger or more prolonged games there maybe additional rules pertaining to the game. Please make sure to listen up during briefing, and if you have any questions ask. There usually is a few more rules added on, sometimes scenario specific roles (i.e. medic or sniper roles, team commanders ect) so its a good idea to read up on the milsim as much as possible. With most milsim's we host, we have a question an answer thread for players who may be confused about rules and regulations. Don't hesitate to ask, cause the dumbest question is the one that goes un-asked and costs your squad the day!

Off Island Games

When traveling to games in other areas our rules are basically uniform with other clubs, this allows minimal inconvenience for all players traveling around British Columbia. For the most part, CIA only travels with veteran airsofters and CIA members. Usually the events we go to the event planners have put in a lot of time and effort and hard work into the scenario, we ask that all players (CIA or not) who sign up to these events show up to these events if you sign up. If some situation happens were you are un-able to come cancel in advance (1 week to 3 days should suffice and allow ample time for any adjustments for the day)as otherwise they may still be awaiting your arrival and slows there start for that day.

Forum Rules

These are pretty simple, keep everything on topic and dont clog the forum with useless clutter (especially game day threads, use your PM function to organize rides). Please follow the game day sign ups, and if you have any questions please feel free to PM a moderator or Admin. Make sure to make use of the search feature in the forum, and browse threads to see if your question has already been answered as most likely it has. But remeber, you are a guest here, we do not tolerate any sort of "forum war-fare" or more commonly known as "chair-softing" what-so-ever. If you don't have nothing nice to say, suck it up butter cup go else-were.
